About Us

Steve began his career as a mechanic over 30 years ago in the early 1990s, joining Mercedes Road Range in 1994 and qualifying as a Mercedes‑Benz technician in 1999.

Throughout his career, he has worked exclusively on Mercedes‑Benz vehicles, giving him an exceptional depth of brand‑specific knowledge that few independent specialists can match.

He progressed to Service Team Manager in 2004, a role that strengthened not only his technical expertise but also his understanding of customer service, communication, and the importance of delivering a complete, reassuring experience for every driver. During this time, he completed numerous specialist Mercedes‑Benz training courses in both the UK and Germany, and in 2007 achieved the internationally recognised C‑Service qualification.

In 2009, Steve combined his extensive Mercedes‑Benz expertise with Rob Stead to establish MB‑Wirral — a business built on specialist knowledge, high standards, and a genuine commitment to customer care.

Outside of work, Steve enjoys travelling abroad whenever he gets the chance

Dave brings over 20 years of experience in the motor trade, including many years with Mercedes‑Benz. He was part of the Wirral Mercedes team in West Kirby until its closure in 2009, after which he continued to build his expertise at a local garage before returning to Mercedes‑Benz, Liverpool.

In 2018, Dave joined the team at MB‑Wirral. During his time with Mercedes‑Benz, he gained several specialist qualifications, giving him extensive knowledge of Mercedes parts, components, and systems.

As our Office Manager, Dave is often the first person you’ll meet when you visit, and he genuinely enjoys the customer‑facing side of his role — helping with vehicle queries and getting to know both new and returning customers.

Outside of work, Dave enjoys travelling and spending time with his two children.

Liam began his career in 2006 at Westbourne Motors and quickly distinguished himself, earning ‘Apprentice of the Year’ in 2014 while completing his Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship. That same year, he was also honoured with the ‘Freeman and Guilds of the City of Chester Award’, recognising both his technical ability and commitment to the trade.

He went on to build extensive handson experience working across a wide range of vehicles, broadening his technical skill set before joining the MBWirral team in 2021. Liam’s broad technical background complements the team and contributes to the high quality of service we deliver.

Outside of work, Liam volunteers as a crew member for West Kirby Lifeboats, where he also serves as the station mechanic and launch vehicle driver.

Josh joined MBWirral in July 2021 to begin his career in the motor trade, starting his apprenticeship with us. In just five years, he has already achieved his NVQ Level 2 in Automotive Care and continues to build his skills every day. Working exclusively on MercedesBenz vehicles from the very start of his career means he is developing brandspecific knowledge early, laying the foundations for strong specialist expertise.

Josh enjoys the gym, playing rugby and visiting car shows in his spare time.
